The Gornation Premium Dip Belt is a one-size chain dip belt, sold for 49.90 € as I write. I have used it since 2023 for weighted pull-ups and, less often, for dips, with Domyos plates and up to 30 kg on the chain. It has never hurt my lower back and nothing on it has moved in two years. The one fault I find comes as much from my plates as from the belt: with several small plates, the stack gets wide and the chain pinches the thighs.
How I used it
I bought it in 2023, with the chain and its three spring carabiners. Since then I have used it in stretches: six months where it comes out every session or every other session, then six months without. Right now it is every other session. I weigh 73 kg and wear it over a t-shirt.
Most of the work is weighted pull-ups, with 20 kg for working sets and 30 kg at most. I have also done weighted dips, less often, without noting the loads. No weighted muscle-ups, so nothing to say about them. The plates are basic Domyos ones from Decathlon with a 28 mm hole: four 5 kg and five 2 kg, 30 kg in all.

Comfort
The padding is about 15 mm thick and the band 17.5 cm tall at the middle of the back. It is soft and wide, and you can feel it: at 20 kg as at 30, nothing pinches and nothing rides up during a set of pull-ups. Before my first belt I was afraid the load would pull on the lower back and end up hurting. It did not happen, the belt spreads the load well.

What does bother me is the stack of plates. Since I have no heavy plates, I need up to nine of them to reach 30 kg, and the stack gets wide. The chain then runs between the thighs and the plates, and it is the chain that pinches, not the belt. Two 15 kg plates would make the problem go away, but I do not have them.
Plate swing
If the chain is set short enough to keep the plates high and I squeeze my legs together, nothing swings during pull-ups. Set too low, the stack swings and knocks the knees. That is the only adjustment, and it is done by moving the carabiner one link. The 90 cm of chain leave room for the nine plates, even if a stack that wide is not pleasant between the legs. On dips, same setting, same result.
Loading calls for no comment: spring carabiners and a chain, you thread the plates on and clip. Nothing to screw.

Wear after two years
No visible wear. The stitching holds, the padding has not packed down, the chain and carabiners show no rust and no play. Laid flat, the belt still measures its 84 cm.
Who it is for
For someone with enough of a base to load their pull-ups and dips and who wants to do it properly, it is a good buy. I forget it is there during the set, and I do not ask more of a belt.
It is no use for loading push-ups or a handstand: the weight hangs below the hips, it cannot sit on your back. Those exercises call for a weighted vest, and I do not own one, so I cannot recommend any. The weight belt guide covers that question and how to load one.
FAQ
Which plates fit on the chain?
Mine are Domyos plates with a 28 mm hole, the standard size in gyms and sports shops. The chain is 2 cm wide, so a 50 mm Olympic hole fits too, but I have not tried it.
How much weight does it hold?
I can only speak for what I have hung on it, which is 30 kg on pull-ups. At that load nothing moved, not the chain, not the carabiners, not the stitching. Beyond that, I have not tested it.
Does it get in the way on dips?
No. I did fewer dips than pull-ups and did not note the loads, but the belt was as comfortable there as on the bar.

I bought this belt myself in 2023 and no longer remember the price I paid. On October 2, 2026, it is listed at 49.90 € with the chain on Gornation’s site, 64.90 € with the chain and the rope. Gornation did not read this text before publication. There is no affiliate link on this page and no commission on the product. It is my first belt, so no head-to-head: another one is being tested and will come later. Tested by Gregory, practitioner, weighted pull-ups up to 30 kg. Last updated October 12, 2026.
