Who is behind the brand

Pullup & Dip is the brand of FT Fitness Technology GmbH, a company registered in Argenbühl, in the Allgäu, run by Johannes Diem and Michael Weber, the two founders. They started in 2015 with a pull-up and dip bar welded in a garage, rotating 180 degrees to switch from one exercise to the other, funded on Kickstarter in August 2016. The office has been in Munich since May 2022. The site claims more than 500,000 customers in 70 countries, and says it assembles some products in its German warehouse. The same company launched CLEVO, a climbing-module brand, in 2023.

What they make

Everything revolves around the pull-up bar at home, with an answer for every kind of wall and door. The Muscle-Up Pull-up Bar is the wide wall bar, 117 cm, 80 cm from the wall, a sandblasted stainless steel bar on a powder-coated frame, rated for 250 kg. The standard wall bar is 94 cm with four grips, 45 cm from the wall at the straight bar and 65 cm at the parallel handles, 200 kg. The wooden bar goes above a door frame, 16.7 cm from the wall, with a 40 mm beech bar, for 130 kg. Two door bars with no drilling: one that hooks over the frame (70 to 95 cm wide, 15 to 23 cm deep, 110 kg) and a telescopic one (69 to 90 cm, 200 kg). The original product, the wall-mounted pull-up and dip bar, exists in a fixed version and a mobile indoor and outdoor version; their pages no longer publish dimensions. The doorway dip bar hooks into a frame or onto the telescopic bar, with 38 mm tubes and four widths.

On the floor, wooden parallettes with an ergonomic handle in two heights, 10 and 30 cm, and beech push-up bars on a steel base, 15 cm long, 1.9 kg, 200 kg. Two pairs of rings: classic wooden rings in 28 or 32 mm, shipped with marked straps, a door anchor and a bag, and the birch TRINGS, which add a straight and an ergonomic grip to the round one, 4.5 m straps, 200 kg per strap.

The bar pages publish width, wall clearance and load; the parallettes and the two pull-up and dip bars publish almost nothing.

What to check before you order

For a wall bar, the question is the distance from the wall: 80 cm on the Muscle-Up, 45 cm on the standard one, 16.7 cm on the wooden bar, which only allows strict pull-ups. For a door bar, measure the frame: 70 to 95 cm wide and 15 to 23 cm deep for the one that hooks on, 69 to 90 cm for the telescopic one, and note the first one’s 110 kg rating. For parallettes, choose between 10 and 30 cm high, the page says nothing else.

What you cannot check from the product page: the dimensions and load of the two pull-up and dip bars, the length, weight and load of the wooden parallettes, and where most products are made.

The practical side: shipping from Germany with tracking, 4.99 euros in Germany (free from 100), from 9.90 euros in the EU in 3 to 5 business days, 3 to 4 days for Switzerland and the UK. Returns within 30 days without a reason, free from Germany, at your cost from the rest of Europe. Refund within 14 days. Warranty up to 5 years depending on the product.

Who it suits

Someone looking for a pull-up bar that fits their home, from the door frame to an outdoor wall, with the numbers to choose, and who wants muscle-ups at home: the Muscle-Up Bar is one of the few wall bars built for that. The TRINGS are for those who want to vary grips on rings.

It is not the brand to choose for parallettes, whose pages publish almost no dimension, nor if documented manufacturing matters to you.

My tests

I have not tested a Pullup & Dip product yet. The Muscle-Up Bar is in my pull-up bar picks and the rings in the rings picks, on spec sheet alone. A full test will come when a product goes under the caliper.
