Who is behind the brand

Peisma is a company in Nantes founded by two brothers, Arthur, an engineer who handles the technical side, materials and R&D, and Logan, who handles customers and communication. The site gives no founding date, but the brand claims ten years in calisthenics as athletes, volunteers and event organizers, and a product developed with more than thirty athletes interviewed before launch. Everything is designed, prototyped, made and assembled in their own premises in Nantes, with FSC-certified wood, corn-starch bioplastics and European suppliers.

What they make

One product, in variations: dismountable parallettes. Two bases with coloured locking screws, and textured wooden bars that screw onto them. The bars come in four lengths, 30, 40, 50 and 60 cm, and two diameters, 35 and 40 mm, in natural wood, black or mixed. The bases come in sky blue, navy, pink, black or beige, and an engraving of up to a hundred characters is offered. The texture of the bars is presented as a way to hold on without chalk. Around it, a pair of bars on its own to change length without buying new bases, and a set of four spare screws.

The product page publishes neither height, nor base width, nor weight, nor load rating.

What to check before you order

The question is bar length: 30 cm for the bag, 40 or 50 for margin in handstand, 60 for a wide pair. The 35 mm diameter suits small hands, 40 mm is the standard. Since the bars swap, start with one length and add another later for 40 euros rather than a second pair. An engraving makes the pair non-returnable.

What you cannot check from the product page: the height, the weight and the load rating, all absent, which matters if you are heavy or want to get under the bar.

The practical side: each pair is made to order, allow 10 to 20 business days according to the product page. Shipping costs and zones are not published, so write to them before ordering from outside France. Returns within 14 days, product unused, personalised items excluded, refund within 10 business days; the policy does not say who pays the return shipping.

Who it suits

Someone who wants a pair made in France, in their own colours, that grows with them by changing bars rather than pairs, and who accepts a two to four week wait. The chalk-free texture is an argument if you train somewhere the powder is a problem.

It is not the brand to choose if you need the pair tomorrow, or a load rating and a height in writing before buying.

My tests

I have not tested a Peisma product yet. The parallettes are in my parallettes picks, on spec sheet alone. A full test will come when a pair goes under the caliper.
