The BOS Cup (Beast of Static Cup) is a statics competition held in Budapest by BOS Gym, the gym of the Hungarian brand Beast of Static. The first edition, called Vol. 1, takes place on November 21, 2026 and is the first international statics competition organized in Hungary.
There is a single category, Men Static Battles. Athletes meet in 1v1 battles drawn at random, two rounds of 45 seconds each per battle and three rounds of 35 seconds in the final. A panel of three judges scores every battle on a 30-point scale: 10 points for pull elements (5 dynamic, 5 isometric), 10 for push elements (same split) and 10 for combination, meaning continuity (one point lost per bar change, with possible deductions for resting on the bar or leaving the abdomen on the bar too long after a pullover) and transitions, judged on difficulty and creativity. Holds are judged against the horizontal (0°) and every static hold must last two full seconds to count. Kipping and poor execution can score zero. In case of a tie, the judges may call an extra 45-second round. An athlete may ask for their scores and an explanation from the judges, but only at the end of the day, and results are not changed afterwards. The full technical rules are published on the competition website.
Entry is by qualification video. For the first edition, applications (free, open to athletes aged 16 and over) closed on October 12, 2026: the organizers selected the top 24 athletes from the videos received and are announcing the qualified competitors on Instagram (@bos_cup). Selected athletes pay a 25 € participation fee. The top three on the podium share a €1,000 cash prize.
